Product Description
Those now notorious intercepted emails documenting leading scientists conspiring to squelch global-warming skeptics and falsifying data proved exactly what Brian Sussman has been saying for years. Climategate is intended for anyone who has ever expressed skepticism about the clamorous environmentalist claims that the Earth is in peril because of mankind’s appetite for carbon-based fuels. By tracing the origins of the current climate scare, Sussman guides the reader … More >>

  1. T. Thomson says:

Here is a direct quote from the foreword pg. xv: “The tenacles of Marxism have been steadily reaching into the United States for decades. Red-flag waving propeller-heads in academia faithfully undermine American values in the classroom; useful idiots associated with a variety of nongovernmental organizations work as tireless, agitating activists; and slimy, liberal politicians craftily seek ways to undermine constitutional principles through, as stated by Lenin, political means.”

The entire book appears to be an exercise in “science by name calling”. I received the book in the afternoon, read it that night, and threw it in the trash the next morning.

Between Gore and Sussman it is hard not to think that the inmates are running the asylum.

  2. Whether or not T. Thomson actually read the book, he’s spot on. The nutter reaction to his review is so typically uninformed and hysterical and all about trashing him instead of actually discussing the book.

Like typical right-wing nut-jobs, if you DARE to say anything negative about one of their slimy heroes, they start calling you names. Not only is it “science by name calling” but “politics by name calling”, “reviews by name calling” and “editing by name calling”. Is that quote really in the forward? It’s so stupidly over-the-top and unrelated to reality that it completely undermines any rational argument Sussman might make (if he actually makes ANY). But of course these guys like it because it fuels their frothing conspiracy theories which is all they need for “proof”.

For what it’s worth, Sussman was a god-awful and offensive talking head, cheering when politicians he didn’t agree with died. He was a WEATHER MAN more than “Meteorologist”.

Re “Climate Gate,” if that’s the best the deniers can come up – after all this time – then Global Warming is proved. Even if there WAS evidence of a Huge Conspiracy (and there isn’t any – only the nut-jobs, wing-nuts and crazies can make a case out of those emails) it still wouldn’t make a dent in the evidence.

  3. Much like environmentally friendly, pure, cold pressed orange oil, Sussman’s “Climategate” essentially dissolves and removes any and all arguments that would be in favor of the Toxic Marxism infused, incredibly destructive “Cap and Trade” “we are going to control everything that you do”, world government style proposition.

Sussman provides many very good, but also very quick ‘snapshots’ of the entire movie it would take to fully understand the scientific, economic, political, moral, etc. problems with the bases for harmful AGW. He highlights the fact he’s won several awards for being a good TV personality, but doesn’t make the fact he has a meteorology degree well known (I read this on a third party website). A lot of readers may not appreciate the fact that he goes into into a fair amount of history, political philosophy, and even a touch of theology in the first chapter. But, I do admit I was glad I read that portion thoroughly, since it does provide the reader with a more solid background/foundation on which to understand why he believes/says what he does.

Sussman is not afraid of letting you know what he thinks about certain people and ideas. Most of the time, this makes for good reading. On occasion, though, he could’ve toned things down a little (like calling Karl Marx a bast****). The text is well referenced, but there are the occasional exaggerations (300 mph jet streams? – rare, at best) and instances when more/better documentation would’ve been great – especially when he references his own interviews and refers to the climategate emails. Sussman is clearly writing about a topic he holds to be important, and it is this fervor which makes this book good. As much of the book is about his personal experiences (challenges, perhaps), he’s encountered in both his professional and personal life since he’s officially become a ‘denier.’ Very little of the science presented in this book was ‘new’ for me; that will be true for you as well, if you keep up to date on the topic. If you’re looking for a peek into the makings of climategate and care about scientific integrity & ethics, however, this will be an excellent read. Enjoy.

I managed to order the book with overnight shipping and got my copy over 2 weeks before it will be officially released. I highly doubt that the 1 start reviewer paid for overnight shipping then sat up all night to read it before writing a review. I could be wrong.

I am in college and have this preached in every class from business strategy, New Testament Theology, chemistry, biology, history….you name it, I hear about global warming. Suddenly every class is actually about global warming. Sussman does a great job pointing out environmental fraud since Rachel Carson in 62 and Paul Ehrlich in 68, both of which I learned about in the college classroom as being new additions to the Holy Trinity.

It is worth noting that Gore had a cold (or would it be a fever?) and did not go to the climate talks in “hopenhagen.” I think even he is realizing that his credibility is evaporating (freezing?). The global warming group and environmental fad seems to always resort to a tactic of fear. It has been turning lukewarm on me. The latest Rasmussen shows man made global warming believers flushing down to 33%.

This book covers the “science” and politics of global warming, I mean, climate change. He points out that 2005 was actually #16, not #1 as Gore says, on the list of hottest years in recent history. Just ask yourself, who will be the winner and who will be the loser if government control is increased for the “ecological justice.” (See Blood and Gore)

What’s wrong with greenhouse gas emissions? I release them every time I have Mexican food. Will the government tax that too? Is that what “taxing up the wazoo” means?

I think Dennis Miller said it best when he spoke about global warming, “Beware the prophet seeking profit.”
