Experts Question Estimates of Gulf Oil Spill

As BP tries to contain the massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, the question remains just how much oil is leaking. BP continues to claim it’s about 5000 barrels a day, but some scientists say the flow rate is much higher. (May 14)

Old story, but how do you create a viable solution without a measurement of the flow rate? Come on! Put a cork in it, or some serious machinery? That machinery will depend on the flow rate. I suppose that is why it’s day 52, and these donkeys are still picking their noses. I’d say put Chef Ramsay in charge. He can at least motivate.
How could bloomberg say that Pb did not blow that up dose he know someone who did it…

Governor Jindal for President. Obama’s response to the gulf oil crisis has been alot of talk and no action. They need skimmers (by the thousands) in the gulf to make any effort to clean up the mess. If Obama can show a response that over shadows the crisis itself then you will see progress. We need a Normandy style envasion of people and equipment to clean up the mess.

The problem BP faces, is equal in difficulty as a Mars mission. It’s not only possible but perhaps even probable, that the Gulf oil spill will continue for years.
If Cannabis was legal this could have been prevented! We can make bio-diesel fuel out of Hemp not to mention through photosynthesis the Cannabis plants would remove carbon dioxide from our air and replace with Oxygen!! Less polluted air and no damn oil spills!!
@ConservativeRuleinUS It’s not Obama’s Katrina. The only thing they have in common is that they struck the Gulf area. President Obama is not a fraud. I’m not sure how you come to that conclusion when what is really fraudelent about the situation is how lax oil industry regulations became under the Bush-43 administration and the ignorance of the whole ‘Drill, Baby, Drill’ crowd. We have one Earth and we should respect her by adopting healthier, alternative energy sources.
